Silicone water repellent is a water repellent silicone that protects against stains, molds and mildew from the substrate. This water resistant coating is used on a variety of materials, such as fabric, textiles and leathers to ensure their durability and aesthetic appearance.
Silicone Water Repellent is a specialized alkali stable micro-emulsion that is easily applied to any substrate, and has been designed to be VOC free. It is also stable under protracted storage conditions when prepared in ready-for-use concentrations, which makes it ideal for use on any type of material.
It is a soluble silicone emulsion water repellent, comprising a silicone oil and an emulsifier. The content of the emulsifier in the emulsion is not particularly limited, but may be 10 to 30 parts by weight relative to 100 parts by weight of the total silicone emulsion water repellent, preferably 15 to 25 parts by weight.
 Hydrolysis of the water-repellent active ingredient is rare, so that the emulsion particles remain stable in the uniformly dispersed state even when time passes.
