Silicone Adjuvant manufacturer introduces that silicone, commonly known as silicone oil or dimethyl silicone oil, is a polymer of organosilicon oxide. It is a series of polydimethylsiloxanes with different molecular weights. The viscosity increases with the increase of molecular weight. The silicone defoamer is a biologically inert defoamer made of silicone as the main component, with a non-toxic emulsifier, dispersant, and stabilizer, and refined by a special process.

Silicone defoamers are used in metal cutting fluids, metal cleaning, oil processing and grinding fluids defoaming of alkaline cleaning fluids, textile printing, and dyeing, emulsion polymerization, civil washing, various color pastes, etc.

Requirements for the amount of silicone defoamer: The amount of defoamer depends on the different applications used in different industries. It is recommended that the content of active substances is not less than 5ppm. Before adding the silicone defoamer to the foaming solution, shake it gently to ensure that the emulsion is uniform. It can be added directly or diluted with water and then added to the foaming solution. But the defoamer diluted with water must be used up this month. Otherwise, the effect will be weakened.

Generally, the dosage of silicone defoamer is 0.05~0.3%, and the best dosage can be determined by the pa roduction test.
