Polymethylsilsesquioxane
Polymethylsilsesquioxane is a spherical polysiloxane produced through a hydrolysis-condensation process.
It is insoluble and non-melting, offering excellent thermal stability. The material provides superior smoothness and light-diffusion properties, making it suitable for applications in personal care products, plastics, glass fibers, leather, and other industries.
Cosmetics
Widely used in powder, loose powder, foundation, eyeshadow, blush, lipstick, lip gloss, and sunscreen products. It can enhance the spreadability and smoothness of cosmetics, increase gloss, help create a natural matte finish, and make the skin appear more even and delicate.
Other Fields
Can be used as a lubricant. In the electronics industry, it may be used in the preparation of special materials. It can also be used in applications requiring hydrophobic and heat-resistant properties.
- Touch and spreadability: Provides a soft touch and excellent flowability for smooth and even application.
- Oil absorption and hydrophobicity: Exhibits a certain oil absorption capacity and strong hydrophobicity. The powder can float on the water surface without precipitation after 24 hours and shows no obvious infiltration.
- Optical properties: By increasing light transmittance and altering light paths, it provides a skin soft-focus effect and helps conceal wrinkles and blemishes.
- Stability: Possesses excellent thermal and chemical stability. It can maintain its physical and chemical properties over a wide temperature range and remains inert to many chemical substances.
