Silway 5193 is a high-performance polyether modified silicone emulsifier independently developed by Hangzhou Silway New Material Technology Co., Ltd. Its standard INCI name is PEG-12 Dimethicone with CAS No. 68937-54-2.

As a non-ionic surfactant, Silway 5193 features excellent water solubility and strong emulsifying capacity. It can stably prepare various emulsions such as water-in-silicone (W/Si), water-in-oil (W/O) and oil-in-water (O/W). It is miscible with water in any proportion, making it easy to formulate fully transparent cosmetic products. It serves not only as an efficient emulsifier, but also acts as a wetting agent, foam stabilizer and skin conditioning agent. With a recommended dosage of only 0.1%-5%, it delivers light, silky and non-sticky skin feel, and forms a thin and breathable protective film on skin and hair surfaces.
