Silway 246D spray adjuvant is a polyether trisiloxane. In aqueous solutions, it gives super spreading and does dramatically reduce surface tension. Typically, Silway 246D spray adjuvant reduces the surface tension of aqueous agricultural mixtures significantly. At concentrations as low as 0.1 percent, Silway 246D spray adjuvant reduces surface tension below 22 mN/m, which produces very rapid wetting and spreading on hard-to-wet surfaces such as waxy leaves. Silway 246D spray adjuvant is nonionic in nature, making it useful with a broad range of agrochemical formulations.

Usage
  • Used as a component in agrochemical formulations. Although organosilicone surfactants are subject to hydrolysis under acidic or basic conditions, optimum performance is achieved by buffering the formulation to pH 3.0-9.0. Additionally, it is recommended that Silway 246D spray adjuvant be used at a concentration of at least 5%, based on the total formulation.
  • When used as a tank-side adjuvant，it can improve spray coverage, improve uptake or allow for a reduction in spray volume.
  • Most effective as a tank-side adjuvant when spray mixtures are used within 12 hours of preparation. Silway 246D spray adjuvant has been used successfully in spray applications globally. Typical applications include:
